Calumet Country Club is a championship golf course designed by renowned architect Donald Ross, established in 1901 in Homewood, Illinois. Located east of the I-80 and I-294 interchange, the course is conveniently accessible by car or train, with the station just two blocks away from the clubhouse.

The course is renowned for maintaining some of the finest greens in the Chicago area. As one of the few publicly accessible Donald Ross-designed championship courses in the greater Chicago region, Calumet features the strategic design and aesthetic principles characteristic of Ross's work.

The club boasts significant tournament history, having hosted the 1924 Western Open and the 1945 Chicago Victory Open. The latter event is particularly notable as it was won by Byron Nelson during his legendary eleven consecutive tournament victories that year.

After 118 years as a private members-only facility, Calumet recently opened for limited public play, allowing golfers to experience this historic championship venue. The course combines classic Donald Ross design principles with well-maintained conditioning, making it a distinctive golfing destination in the Chicago area.
