Flossmoor Golf Club, opened in 1899, is one of the Midwest's earliest golf courses. The 18-hole layout features a par of 72 with yardages ranging from 122 to 560 yards across individual holes. The course showcases a classic design with a blend of Scottish and South African-inspired hole names, reflecting its historical heritage.

The course is characterized by its wooded terrain, featuring prominent oak groves, narrow passages through trees, and strategic doglegs. Notable holes include the par-5 Road hole at 488 yards, inspired by St. Andrews; the par-5 Oak hole at 560 yards with its distinctive oak grove on the left; and the challenging par-4 Haugh at 461 yards. The design presents a mix of difficulty levels, from the short par-3 Easy hole at 122 yards to demanding longer holes.

Set in a classic landscape with natural features like meadows, valleys, and tree-lined fairways, Flossmoor Golf Club maintains its original routing and design philosophy. The course offers a traditional golf experience with challenging green approaches and strategic layouts that have remained relevant throughout its history as a members-only facility.
