The course gained significant recognition in 2000 when it hosted the World Cup of Golf, where Tiger Woods won the championship. The club also hosted the 102nd Abierto de la República as part of the European Challenge Tour in 1994, and the Argentine Open in 2004, attracting notable players including Eduardo Romero and Ángel Cabrera. The Abierto de la República traditionally took place in December until 2007, after which it moved to April.
The course has served as a venue for major televised events, with one tournament reaching an estimated 200 million viewers across 142 countries.
