Built in 1931, the 9-hole course meanders around the Blair Academy campus, contouring to the natural terrain and providing elevation changes throughout a round. The course features 3,000 yards from the longest tees for a par of 35, with a layout of 2 par 5's, 4 par 4's and 3 par 3's, small greens, tight to very tight fairways, elevation changes and some blind shots. Designed by Duer, Erving & Sewall, the course opened in 1931. The course is located on Blair Academy's 463-acre hilltop campus in Blairstown, New Jersey, approximately nine miles from the Delaware River in pastoral Warren County. The course rating is 68.0 with a slope rating of 123. The first 6 holes are original and the last three were altered or new to allow athletic fields to be built. The course is open to the public and represents an example of Golden Age golf architecture, with challenging design elements including strategic bunker placement and topographic routing that require course management and strategic thinking.
