Bermuda Run Country Club

Bermuda Run Country Club's West Course is an 18-hole championship layout designed by Ellis & Dan Maples, located in Bermuda Run, North Carolina. The course features a par of 72 across its 18 holes, with multiple tee options accommodating various skill levels from professional (Black tees at 375+ yards) to beginner (Green tees).

The West Course presents a challenging design with strategic water hazards, bunker placements, and elevation changes throughout. The front nine closes with a demanding par-4 ninth hole playing as a par 5 for women players. The back nine opens with a particularly difficult par 5 tenth hole featuring a narrow, top-hat-shaped green. Notable holes include the par-5 fifteenth, which requires accurate shot placement across a tighter fairway with a pond guarding the approach, and the par-3 twelfth, a lengthy one-shotter where wind significantly impacts play.

The course design emphasizes precision and strategic club selection, with multiple elevated greens, two-tiered putting surfaces, and well-positioned hazards that reward accurate tee shots and approaches. The layout accommodates female golfers with alternative par ratings on select holes, including the ninth, eleventh, and other lengthier holes.
