Berkshire Country Club is an 18-hole championship course located in Reading, Pennsylvania, designed by Willie Park. The course plays to a championship yardage of 6,401 with four additional tee options to accommodate golfers of all skill levels.
The layout features two par-3s, six par-4s, and four par-5s across the front and back nines. The course is characterized by significant elevation changes and natural terrain features, including a quarry that serves as a visual and physical hazard on holes 6 and 9. Notable design elements include the "Alps" mounds on hole 10 and the distinctive "minefield" bunker complex on hole 8.
Willie Park's design emphasizes strategic bunkering and dramatic topography. Hole 13 is regarded as the most difficult on the course, playing as a long uphill par-4 with a green that repels short approach shots. Other signature holes feature steeply tiered greens, severe elevation changes, and challenging green complexes that reward accurate shot-making.
The facility includes a 300-yard driving range with all-grass tees, target greens, and a short-game area with bunkers. Members have access to PGA instruction, a full golf shop, and locker room facilities.
