Bass Rocks Golf Club is a private seaside links course established in 1896 and designed by Herbert Leeds. Located in East Gloucester, Massachusetts on 112 acres, it offers Atlantic Ocean views on nearly every hole. The course plays to a par of 69 (71 for women) and presents a demanding layout characterized by chocolate drop mounds, fast rolling bent/poa greens, long fescue areas, and ever-changing winds that create varied shot-making challenges. The undulated greens are firm and fast, requiring strategic positioning below the pin. The course's natural beauty reflects the Cape Ann landscape and is maintained to exceptionally high standards. Bass Rocks has hosted the MGA Junior Championship in 1996 and has served as a qualifying venue for MGA and WGAM events throughout its history. The club is noted for combining challenging golf with an enjoyable playing experience, attracting members who appreciate both the course's difficulty and its spectacular setting.
