Baiting Hollow Golf Club is a privately owned, members-only golf club located in Long Island's north shore, approximately 10 miles from the Hamptons. The golf course was designed by the legendary Robert Trent Jones and is built on the bluffs of the Long Island Sound, known for its beautiful vistas with undulating terrain and many elevated tees and greens. The 18-hole course features 6,838 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The layout includes challenging water hazards and sand bunkers, and the course presents a difficult, but fair challenge to golfers of all levels.
In 2007, the Premier Golf Course Design team of Hurdzan-Fry provided counsel on restoring the course to its original design, which had been modified over the years. A magnificent 25,000 square foot clubhouse was completed in 2008. The Baiting Hollow Club has hosted many outstanding tournaments over the years, including the 2006 New York State Open qualifier, the 2002 & 2013 U.S. Open qualifiers, the 2001 Met Open, the 2000 U.S. Amateur qualifier, the 1999 Long Island PGA Championship, the 1998 Met Open qualifier, and the 1996 Ike qualifier.
