Bacon Park Golf Course

Bacon Park Golf Course is a municipal golf course in Savannah, Georgia, designed by legendary architect Donald Ross in 1926. As the City of Savannah's only municipal course, it is owned by the city and managed by OC Welch Golf Properties. Since 2014, the course has undergone extensive restoration to return it to Ross' original design specifications.

The course features a unique layout characteristic of Donald Ross' design philosophy, set within the Savannah landscape. It offers challenging play suitable for golfers of various skill levels while maintaining the strategic elements typical of Ross' work from that era. The facility includes modern amenities such as golf carts equipped with touchscreen monitors and a pro shop.

Bacon Park is notable for hosting weekly league play in tournament-style scramble formats and offers youth golf instruction programs. The course has served the Savannah golfing community for nearly a century and continues to be recognized for its quality conditioning and hospitality. Its centennial celebration is planned for 2026, marking 100 years of operation as a cherished local golf destination.
