Alta Sierra Country Club is an 18-hole golf course located in Grass Valley, California, designed by Bob E. Baldock and Jim Summers and opened in 1964. The course stretches from 4,975 to 6,326 yards across four tee sets, with ratings ranging from 68.7 to 70.8 and slopes from 121 to 130.

Set in a picturesque landscape of majestic pines and black oaks, the course skillfully incorporates the natural terrain with fairways and greens that meander through the forest. Each hole features distinctive character and strategic variety. Notable holes include the par-5 opening (497 yards from the back), which requires navigating an elevated tee and a diagonal creek; the challenging par-4 second hole (444 yards); and the interesting downhill par-4 ninth with its optical illusion green.

The back nine is particularly known for its outstanding par-3s, including the scenic 12th hole featuring an elevated tee and postage stamp green guarded by a pond. The dogleg left par-4 tenth and dogleg right par-4 thirteenth are also signature holes. The course emphasizes strategic shot-making with its tree-lined fairways, elevation changes, and well-protected greens, offering a fun yet challenging experience suitable for all skill levels.
