Alston Moor Golf Club is England's highest golf course, situated at 1,476 feet above sea level in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Located 2 miles south of Alston in Cumbria, approximately 15 miles south of Hadrian's Wall, the course occupies 132 acres of parkland, high meadow and pasture land.

The course features 18 holes played over 10 greens with 18 tee positions, offering a challenging layout that makes use of the natural terrain, including trees and streams. The landscape provides spectacular 360-degree views of the surrounding North Pennines countryside. The course design incorporates sloping and uphill holes that test golfers of varying abilities while showcasing the dramatic moorland setting.

Founded in 1905, Alston Moor caters to golfers of all skill levels seeking to play at their own pace in distinctive surroundings. The terrain and elevation create natural variations in difficulty across the course. The site has been promoted for its exceptional dark skies, suitable for stargazing, and is recognized as one of the best local venues for viewing the Milky Way.
