Aldeburgh Golf Club, founded in 1884, is England's second oldest maritime heathland course, located on Suffolk's Heritage Coastline. The Championship Course is an 18-hole layout with Par 70 for men and Par 74 for ladies, featuring yardages from 6,916 yards (Blue tees) to 5,025 yards (Black tees). Recently redeveloped by Mackenzie and Ebert, the course presents substantial challenges for golfers of all standards, with every hole demanding precision in shot-making and accuracy.

Built on sandy heathland with a links-like feel on many holes, the course offers stunning views across the River Alde toward the North Sea and the iconic Edwardian clubhouse. The terrain and strategic design create an examination of golfing skill while providing an aesthetically pleasing experience. The club also features a 9-hole River Course overlooking the Alde river with marshland views and wildlife.

Notably, Aldeburgh Golf Club is believed to be the first golf club in the world where women have always held equal membership and playing rights with men, influenced by early members Elizabeth Garrett Anderson and Millicent Fawcett. The course plays exceptionally well in winter without requiring preferred lies or temporary modifications, allowing rounds to be completed in approximately three hours.
