Lakeview Municipal Golf Course is an 18-hole municipal facility located in Mitchell, South Dakota, designed to challenge golfers of all skill levels while remaining enjoyable for recreational play. The course emphasizes balanced difficulty, described as "challenging, not punishing," with well-maintained tees, fairways, and greens that have earned a reputation for top-quality playing conditions. Lakeview has undergone continuous improvements over the past two decades to enhance the golfing experience. Notable amenities include a recently expanded driving range completed in 2001, measuring over 200 yards wide and 300 yards long with variable target distances. In 2024, the course completed Phase 2 of its improvement program, with plans underway to add a 5-hole short course by 2026.
