The Harry Vardon Cup & Dai Rees Bowl is a 36-hole individual strokeplay competition held at South Herts Golf Club on Saturday 20th June 2026. Open to male amateur golfers who are members of an affiliated golf club and hold a WHS handicap index not exceeding 9.0. Maximum playing handicap allowance is 95%. The maximum field size is 72 players. Players will tee off from the purple tees, with morning tee times allocated between 08:00–09:50 and afternoon tee times between 13:00–14:50. The entry fee is £75.00 for non-members (or £55.00 for members) and includes morning coffee and a bacon roll, a light lunch, and an evening carvery dinner; players are expected to remain for the carvery after play. The closing date for entries is Friday 5th June 2026. Prizes include the Harry Vardon Cup and a £250 voucher for the best net score over 36 holes, the Dai Rees Bowl and a £250 voucher for the best gross score over 36 holes, £125 vouchers for runner-up gross and net scores, and £50 vouchers for the best morning and best afternoon scores (gross and net). In the event of a tie, the winner is decided on count-back over the last 18, 9, 6, 3, or last holes.

South Hertfordshire Golf Club, founded in 1899, is a premier North London members' club featuring two courses. The 18-hole Vardon Course spans 6,435 yards and was originally designed by twice Open winner Willie Park Junior, making it one of the longer courses in the local area. The club also offers a 9-hole Rees Course, both named after golfing professionals who served the club. Located in Totteridge, North London, the courses provide excellent challenges for golfers of all levels. The club has a rich competitive history, having hosted The Open Regional Qualifying on 14 occasions. The club maintains traditional standards with a dress code and hosts numerous open competitions throughout the year, including the Vardon Cup, Rees Bowl, and various senior and junior tournaments. South Herts welcomes both members and weekday visitors, supported by practice facilities, a clubhouse with bars and lounges, and professional golf instruction and equipment services.
