A 36-hole medal (strokeplay) competition played over two days on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th May 2027 at South Herts Golf Club. The event is open to male amateur golfers aged 65 or over on Thursday 18th May 2027, who are members of an affiliated golf club with a maximum handicap index of 18.0 (maximum playing handicap of 21). Handicap allowance is 95%. The competition is played from the white tees. Maximum entry is 72 competitors. Start times are allocated by the club and sent to competitors by email after the closing date. The entry fee (to be confirmed) includes morning coffee and a bacon roll, plus a carvery lunch on Friday 17th May 2027. Special dietary requirements should be communicated in advance. The kitchen will also be open on Thursday 16th May evening for players wishing to order food. Prize vouchers are awarded: £150 voucher for best gross score over 36 holes, £150 voucher for best net score over 36 holes, £80 voucher for runner-up gross and net scores over 36 holes, and £40 vouchers for best morning and best afternoon scores (gross and net). In the event of a tie, the winner is decided on count-back over the last 18, 9, 6, 3, or last holes. Each player may only win one voucher.

South Hertfordshire Golf Club, founded in 1899, is a premier North London members' club featuring two courses. The 18-hole Vardon Course spans 6,435 yards and was originally designed by twice Open winner Willie Park Junior, making it one of the longer courses in the local area. The club also offers a 9-hole Rees Course, both named after golfing professionals who served the club. Located in Totteridge, North London, the courses provide excellent challenges for golfers of all levels. The club has a rich competitive history, having hosted The Open Regional Qualifying on 14 occasions. The club maintains traditional standards with a dress code and hosts numerous open competitions throughout the year, including the Vardon Cup, Rees Bowl, and various senior and junior tournaments. South Herts welcomes both members and weekday visitors, supported by practice facilities, a clubhouse with bars and lounges, and professional golf instruction and equipment services.
