The 2026 Spring Classic is a three-day golf event held at Barmera Golf Club from Friday 6th to Sunday 8th November 2026. The event is open to both men and women, with visiting competitors made temporary members of the club on competition days. Friday features a casual 4-ball better ball competition (9 or 18 holes) at $10 per player. Saturday includes Men's and Women's 18-hole handicap strokeplay events ($35 each), with A, B, and C grades for men (A: 0-12, B: 13-19, C: 20-36) and grades for women dependent on entries. The five best gross scores after Saturday's play are invited to compete in a four-hole Skins playoff before the Saturday night dinner ($50). Sunday features Men's and Women's Stableford competitions ($35 per player, Barmera members $20). Trophies are awarded for winners and runners-up in all events, with major trophies given on net scores. Maximum handicaps: Men 36, Women 45. First 130 entries only. Entries must be received by Monday 2nd November 2026 with entrance fees. Players must hold a current GA Handicap and GA Golf ID number.

Barmera Golf Club is an 18-hole, par 72 golf course located in the heart of Barmera, South Australia, approximately 2.5 hours from Adelaide. The course features 18 grassed fairways and is noted for its exceptionally high-quality greens, recognized as among the best in rural South Australia. It is the only golf course in the Riverland situated in the town centre, providing convenient access to modern accommodation and local activities. The course presents a challenging layout suitable for players of all abilities and ages, with several holes distinguished as particularly significant. The setting offers views towards Lake Bonney, with the modern clubhouse positioned to overlook the 18th hole. Barmera Golf Club was awarded Golf SA Club of the Year in 2022, reflecting its standing as one of the Riverland's most prestigious courses. The club hosts major annual events including the Barmera Open (held in June) and the Spring Classic (held in November), attracting over 130 competitors. The facility operates as a community-run club and welcomes both members and visitors year-round.
