Individual Open Stableford competition for men and ladies at Minehead & West Somerset Golf Club, Saturday 13th March 2027. Tees: White for men, Red for ladies. Stableford scoring with 95% handicap allowance. Open to players of UK golf clubs with a WHS handicap. Playing handicap limit: 28 for men, 36 for ladies. Players must have completed 3 competition rounds in the last 12 months to win a prize. Entry includes coffee and bacon roll before play. Entry fee: £47.50 for visitors, £17.50 for members. Minehead and West Somerset Golf Club is Somerset's oldest golf course, founded in 1882 and still playing on its original layout. Located on Somerset's north coast, this links course is an 18-hole design set in a coastal landscape with stunning views. The course is renowned for having some of the best greens in the area and is regarded as a challenging and fair test of golf. The club has hosted numerous PGA, County, and Regional events throughout its history, including the 2024 Somerset County Championship. The course operates year-round and features a well-maintained layout that accommodates both experienced and newer golfers. Notable characteristics include its links terrain and playable design, with specific pin placements that vary by hole to provide different challenges. As one of the oldest golf clubs in the South West and England, Minehead and West Somerset remains an important venue in regional golfing history.
