The Bath Golf Club Junior Open is an 18-hole medal (strokeplay) competition for boys and girls under the age of 18 (as of 1st January) with a Handicap Index of 54 or less. Boys play from the Yellow tees and girls from the Red tees, with a 95% handicap allowance. The event serves as a qualifying competition for the Justin Rose Telegraph Golf Championship, with the best net and gross scores for boys and girls entered into the national qualifier. Prizes include the Junior Open Champion Cup for the best gross score (with handicap limits of 28 for boys and 36 for girls to qualify) and the Junior Open Cup for the best net score. It also runs concurrently as the Wessex Junior Masters, with separate prizes for the Boys & Girls Champions (best gross) and the Wessex Salver (best stableford). Entry is open to junior golfers with a maximum Handicap Index of 54. The entry fee is £25 for visitors (£12 for members). Bookings and payment are made online via credit/debit card, with sign-up closing on Monday 17th May 2027. Maximum entries are limited to 54 players.
