Annual 5 Sticks Fun Competition held on Sunday 20 September 2026 at Golfbaan de Swinkelsche. The event is played as a Texas Scramble across 9 holes on the Peelrijtbaan and 9 holes on the Championship Course. Participants may enter as a team, individually, or in groups of 2-3 people, with flights of 3 or 4 players depending on the number of entrants. Registration opens on Wednesday 26 August 2026 via E-golf4U online or by emailing info@golfbaandeswinkelsche.nl with your GSN number. The event starts with a shotgun start at 14:00, with arrival from 13:00. After the round, a buffet and two drinks per person are provided. Members pay €17.50 per person (the club contributes to the event). Guests, registered members, and non-members pay €40 per person, which includes the green fee for 18 holes (9 holes Championship Course + 9 holes Peelrijtbaan) plus the catering package. Visitors are welcome to participate.

Golfbaan de Swinkelsche is located in Someren, Netherlands, and features an 18-hole Championship Course and a 9-hole Par-3 course known as Peelrijt-baan. The facility is characterized by natural surroundings, tranquility, and open space, which define both the course layout and its scenic environment. The course accommodates various skill levels and playing styles, with buggies and trolleys available on the Championship layout. The 9-hole Par-3 course offers trolley access but not buggy facilities. Both courses maintain qualifying status. Comprehensive practice facilities include a driving range with evening illumination on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, along with dedicated putting, chipping, pitching, and bunker practice greens. The grounds are maintained to championship standards by dedicated greenkeeping staff. The facility operates seven days weekly from 8:30 AM and welcomes golfers, cyclists, and walkers. An on-site clubhouse and terrace provide dining and beverage services. The course hosts various tournaments and events throughout the year, maintaining its reputation as a welcoming venue within the Dutch golf community.
