The Wimborne Cup is a prestigious 36-hole individual scratch strokeplay competition held at Parkstone Golf Club on the last Saturday of June. Open to male amateur golfers who are members of a golf club with a Handicap Index of 4.0 or lower. A handicap allowance of 95% is applied. Entries are limited to 60 players, with a handicap ballot if entries exceed this number. The Organising Committee reserves the right to include 6 Parkstone members in the final start sheet and to decline entries where a player's ability does not match their Handicap Index. All players require a minimum of 20 scores on their handicap record, with 10 being competition rounds. The entry fee (TBC) includes a buffet lunch and prizes. A stroke play play-off over holes 1, 2 and 18 is used to decide ties for first place, with sudden death if still tied; other tied places are decided by count back. The draw is published the day after the closing date, and players are emailed their start sheet. One practice round is permitted during the week prior to the event at a reduced rate of £50.
