Tam Dao Challenge Day is a weekly individual stableford competition held at Tam Dao Golf Course. The event runs on Tuesdays (and Fridays during certain periods) throughout the year, with each occurrence being a single-day 18-hole competition. Players compete on a net stableford basis using System 36 scoring. The event is open to all golfers, including visiting non-members. Weekly prizes are awarded for Top 3 Best Net scores and Nearest to the Pin. Results are published weekly on the club's Facebook page. The course uses challenging tee boxes and pin positions during Challenge Day events to provide an extra test for golfers.

The course stretches over 7,200 yards with four tee boxes, accommodating both professional and amateur golfers. Its design incorporates natural elements including streams, lakes, and waterfalls, with strategically positioned sand bunkers creating engaging challenges throughout the round. The fairways and greens are maintained with Paspalum Sea Isle 2000 grass, ensuring consistent playing conditions year-round. The course offers considerable variety in shot selections and difficulty levels across its 18 holes. The dramatic natural landscape of the Tam Dao region provides scenic views and challenging terrain that tests golfers' skills comprehensively. The facility includes a practice range, pro shop, clubhouse with dining facilities, and accommodations including villas and hotel rooms, making it a full resort destination for golf enthusiasts.
