The Pier Valenti Pairs Tournament by Quinta dos Encados is a pairs competition held at Golfe da Quinta do Fojo on 5 September 2026, from 09:00 to 17:00. The event is a Pairs Texas Scramble format, played under the rules of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, with local rules established by the Technical Commission. The competition is open to all golfers with a valid handicap index, with a maximum handicap of 36.0 for men and 36.0 for ladies. Entry is limited to 32 pairs, and when entries exceed the limit, club members are given priority. Entries can be made through the website www.golfojo.com, by email to geral@golfojo.com, by phone at 22 772 70 70, or in person at the Golfe da Quinta do Fojo reception. The entry fee is €25.00 for non-members (visitors), €15.00 for members, and €17.50 for members with a handicap and week pass; the fee includes a field bar. Check-in begins at 08:00 for the 09:00 shotgun start, and at 12:30 for the 13:30 shotgun start. In the event of a tie, the tie-break is resolved successively by the best last 9, 6, and 3 holes, then the best last hole. If the tie persists, the higher gross handicap wins the gross classification and the lower net handicap wins the net classification. Prizes are awarded to the 1st pair in both gross and net classifications, as well as Longest Drive and Nearest to the Pin. The Technical Commission consists of Tiago Osório, Ramiro Pinto, and Francisca Osório.
