The Kurhessian Open Golf Week is an annual multi-tournament event held at the Kurhessischer Golfclub Oberaula-Bad Hersfeld. The 2027 edition runs from July 21 to July 26. The event features six tournaments over six days, with participants able to enter the '3aus6 Challenge' where the best three individual tournament scores are aggregated for an overall ranking. Formats vary by day and include individual stableford (handicap-relevant), four-ball betterball (pairs), and three-player scramble formats. The event is open to all amateur golfers who are members of a DGV-affiliated club or hold a recognized handicap index from an affiliated foreign club. Visitors and non-members are welcome. The event has attracted over 500 participants in recent years, with significant attendance from other clubs. Prizes are awarded at a ceremony, with the top 10 Challenge participants receiving vouchers and gifts from sponsors including GolfHouse, Bickhardt-Bau, and Hotel zum Stern.
