The Bandon Dunes Cup is a 72-hole team tournament played over four days (May 16-19, 2027) at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort. Teams of two compete across four championship courses (Bandon Dunes, Pacific Dunes, Old Macdonald, and Bandon Trails) using three different formats: fourball, scramble, and foursomes. The field is limited to 70 two-person teams split into six flights based on handicap. Registration opens August 19, 2026 at 9:00 AM PDT on a first-come, first-served basis. The package includes three nights lodging, four 18-hole rounds, welcome reception with putting contest and optional skins, awards luncheon, and tournament gifts. Pricing is $2,635 per person for shared double occupancy and $3,175 per person for a 2-bedroom/2-bath loft. Flight winners receive a commemorative trophy; 1st and 2nd place teams in each flight receive gift cards.

Old Macdonald is the fourth course at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, designed by Tom Doak and Jim Urbina as a tribute to Charles Blair Macdonald. The course asks what Macdonald would have created with the Oregon Coast as his canvas. It features 18 holes with classic design principles including vast greens, multiple angles of play, and strategic bunkers. The layout spans diverse terrain across the coastal landscape, with signature holes including Eden (par 3 into prevailing winds), Sahara (blind tee shot over sand dunes), Hog's Back (long par 4 requiring precision), and Punchbowl (strong finishing par 4 playing downwind in summer). Notable features include the Biarritz hole with its distinctive swale and elevated tees offering remarkable views of the surrounding coastline. The course presents considerable challenge through wind exposure, elevated greens, and strategic bunkering inspired by classic Scottish links design. Hole-by-hole, players encounter varying difficulty and shot-making demands. Golf Digest praised it as "the hottest course in America right now," noting its resemblance to West of Scotland links golf. The course emphasizes positional play and course management as key to scoring well.
