Newquay Junior Open

The Newquay Junior Open is a junior golf competition for boys and girls held at Newquay Golf Club on Wednesday 26th August 2026. The event is open to junior members of affiliated golf clubs (WHS) with a valid handicap. Players with a handicap of 0-18 play an 18-hole Medal (strokeplay) competition, while those with a handicap of 19-36 play an 18-hole Stableford competition. The handicap allowance is 95% of the Course Handicap. Players may use the Blue (Men) or Red (Ladies) tees. To be eligible to compete or win prizes, players must have recorded 3 individual qualifying competition scores in the previous 12 months; general play and 4BBB scores do not count. The entry fee is £6.00, payable via online entry. Online entry closes at 23:59 on Tuesday 18th August 2026. The field is limited to 138 players. Scores must be entered via the P.S.I. screen or mobile device and the card placed in the competition box. Ties are decided on the back 9, then holes 6, 3, and 1.
