The Stern-Donau Challenge is an individual Stableford competition held at Golfclub SternGartl. The event is open to guests (visitors welcome). Entry is available online via golf.at or by phone/email. The entry deadline is on the day of the tournament at 11:00 AM. The starting time is 2:00 PM with follow-up starts. The entry fee is EUR 45.00 for guests, bronze members, and non-resident members. A maximum of 50 participants is allowed. The competition is played over 18 holes with electronic scorecards and is handicap-relevant with daily scoring. The main prize is a weekend at Imlauer Hotel Schloss Pichlarn. The series consists of multiple tournaments throughout the year (May through September/October), with the final event in October determining the annual winner. To be eligible for the annual ranking, participants must have played at least 3 tournaments at both GC SternGartl and GC Donau. Scoring is gross for ladies and gentlemen, with 2 net groups. Tie-break procedures: last 9 holes, then last 6, 3, and 1 holes if still tied, with net handicap allowance. If still tied, a draw decides. A protest fee of EUR 50 applies. The tournament is played under the Rules of the R&A, ÖGV competition recommendations, and GC SternGartl course rules.
