Weekly Friday Scrambles event held at Island Country Club. The event takes place on Fridays from 9:00am to 11:45am. Guests and members are welcome to participate in this 3 and 4-person scramble event. Participants must be at least 16 years old. The entry fee is $5 per person, and visitors also need to pay the 9-hole greens fee. Sign-up can be done ahead of time in the clubhouse or by calling (207) 348-2379 to be added to the list. Participants should arrive at 8:45am to register. Non-members should call before 5pm on Thursday to be added to the list. Members receive signup instructions via email. The $5 entry fee must be paid in exact cash change, though the greens fee can be paid by credit card or cash.

Island Country Club is a historic golf and tennis facility celebrating its 97th year in 2025, located on scenic Deer Isle in coastal Maine. The course features an expanded 9-hole layout spanning approximately 2,400 yards with a par of 34, designed to challenge experienced golfers while remaining accessible to all skill levels and families. Originally designed by Wayne Stiles in 1926, the course officially opened in 1932. A major 2009 renovation by Forbes Golf Design added four new holes and a par-5, introducing modern amenities including irrigated fairways and greens. The course is characterized by rolling greens, strategic bunkers, and fescue-covered mounds that define its signature holes. Set near the sea on one of Maine's most precious coastal islands, the course offers first-call, first-served tee times for members and visitors. The property also features three newly resurfaced clay courts recognized as among the peninsula's finest. The clubhouse provides comfortable amenities including a fireplace, porches with mountain views, a pro shop, and beverage service, making it a complete leisure destination.
