Island Country Club

Island Country Club is a historic golf and tennis facility celebrating its 97th year in 2025, located on scenic Deer Isle in coastal Maine. The course features an expanded 9-hole layout spanning approximately 2,400 yards with a par of 34, designed to challenge experienced golfers while remaining accessible to all skill levels and families.

Originally designed by Wayne Stiles in 1926, the course officially opened in 1932. A major 2009 renovation by Forbes Golf Design added four new holes and a par-5, introducing modern amenities including irrigated fairways and greens. The course is characterized by rolling greens, strategic bunkers, and fescue-covered mounds that define its signature holes.

Set near the sea on one of Maine's most precious coastal islands, the course offers first-call, first-served tee times for members and visitors. The property also features three newly resurfaced clay courts recognized as among the peninsula's finest. The clubhouse provides comfortable amenities including a fireplace, porches with mountain views, a pro shop, and beverage service, making it a complete leisure destination.
