The Wednesday Open is a weekly team competition held at Southern Hills Golf Club in Hastings, NE. The event on 2026-08-19 offers multiple format options including a 4-person Red, White & Blue Scramble, a 4-person scramble, a 4-person shamble, and a 4-person lone wolf (gross scores). Additional formats include 2-man scramble, 2-person scramble, 1-person Par Train, and 2-person shamble. The main team scramble format involves everyone teeing off, selecting the best drive, then each player playing their own ball for the rest of the hole, with the 3 lowest scores added together for the final score. There is also a 2+2 alternate shot option where groups of four play in two-person pairings with true alternate shot, switching partners every six holes, and adding each pairing's scores. Results are posted after each event. Entry is via online booking through the club's tee time system.
