The Wednesday Open is a recurring series of open competitions held every Wednesday at Southern Hills Golf Course in Hastings, NE, throughout the 2026 season. The September 16th event features multiple format options including 2-Man Scramble, 4-Person Scramble, 2-Person Shamble, and other variations. In the 2-Person Shamble format, each player tees off, the best drive is selected, both players hit their second shots from that location, and then each plays their own ball for the remainder of the hole with the best ball score counting. Cash prizes are awarded to top finishing pairs and groups. Results are posted on the club website after each event. The event is open to visiting golfers.

Cash prizes awarded to top finishing pairs (amounts vary by event; in past events: 1st $30/player, 2nd $25/player, 3rd $20/player, 4th $15/player, 5th $10/player for 2-man scramble format).
