The Wednesday Open is a series of open competitions held every Wednesday at Southern Hills Golf Club in Hastings, NE, throughout the 2026 season. The September 16th event features a 2-Person Shamble format: each player tees off, the best drive is selected, both players hit their second shots from that location, and then each plays their own ball for the remainder of the hole with the best ball score counting. Cash prizes are awarded to top finishing pairs, with past payouts ranging from $10 to $30 per player depending on placement. Results are posted on the club website after each event. The event is open to visiting golfers.
