The annual Gents Invitation is a pairs Stableford competition held at Lingdale Golf Club. Open to male golfers. The 2025 event took place on Saturday 13th September with prize vouchers for top teams. Visitors are welcome to enter via the club's online booking system. Handicap limits apply: men off 28 or less, ladies off 36 or less (per club general requirements for open competitions). Entry fee for visitors is £30.00 (standard green fee for open competitions).

Lingdale Golf Club is situated in the picturesque surroundings of Charnwood Forest in North West Leicestershire, offering spectacular views and stunning scenery that many describe as the best golf course setting in the county. The course challenges golfers of all abilities across its layout. Notably, the course has received distinguished praise from prominent figures in golf: Peter Aliss described it as a "hidden gem within the Midlands," while Tony Jacklin, the winning Ryder Cup Captain who visited in 1989, commented that it features "probably the toughest opening three holes in the Midlands." The course is easily accessible from Loughborough and Leicester, located only 10 minutes from either junction 22 or 23 of the M1 motorway. The club welcomes both members and visitors and hosts numerous competitions and events throughout the year, including open competitions, ladies and seniors events, and social gatherings.
