The Sanko Cup Summer Special Tournament is an open individual competition held at Sanko 72 Country Club on 30 September 2026. This is a special 18-hole event (as opposed to the standard 9-hole format used for regular competitions), with scoring determined by the New Paria system (a stableford-type net score system with double par cut, handicap allowance, and priority for older players). The event is open to all golfers regardless of membership status, gender, or age. Entry can be made by phone, fax, or email. The entry fee for guests in September 2026 is 7,500 yen (tax inclusive), which includes play, lunch, facility tax, consumption tax, and promotion fee. All participants receive prizes; prizes are awarded to places 1-12 (or up to 21 depending on field size) and to every third place thereafter. A women's winner is also determined, though if a woman finishes in the top 3, the women's prize goes to the next highest-placed woman. Special prizes such as best gross score and birthday awards may also be given. Players use their own carts (self-play), with handicap limits as per club rules. Tee markers: men use white (gold for men 70+), women use red (pink for women 70+). The event includes 18 holes of play with results counted over the full round.
