The Gourmet Tournament is an open individual competition held at Sanko 72 Country Club on the East Course on August 27, 2026. The event is played over the first 9 holes using the New Paria scoring system (a modified stableford-style points system based on par, with net handicap and senior priority applied for rankings). All participants receive prizes; winners through 12th place (or up to 21st depending on field size) receive prizes, with additional prizes for every third place beyond that. The entry fee for August 2026 is 6,900 JPY for guests (including green fees, lunch, taxes, and promotion fee), or 6,500 JPY for members. Entry can be made by phone, fax, or email. The event is open to everyone regardless of membership status, gender, or age. Prizes for the Gourmet Tournament include seafood, fruits, bread, cake, and gourmet foods from across Japan. Self-play with a shared utility cart is the standard format, with caddies available if required. Handicapped golfers may use appropriate tees: men white (gold for 70+), women red (pink for 70+). The course allows one grip relief on the green and six-inch placement in the general area. GPS devices and personal rangefinders are permitted. A minimum of 10 players is required for the competition to proceed.
