The Wednesday Night Golf Scramble is a weekly team scramble event held at Angel Fire Golf Course in Angel Fire, New Mexico. The 2026 series runs every Wednesday from June 3rd through September 23rd, with play scheduled from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The entry fee is $45, which includes a $5 skins game component. Registration is by phone call to the Golf Shop at (575) 377-4488. The event is open to all golfers; participants may bring their own team or be placed on a team by the organizers. Angel Fire Country Club Golf Staff members, including PGA Professionals, often participate, providing opportunities for amateurs to play alongside professionals. An optional skins game is available, where players have a chance to win with a single good hole. Scrambles are not held on July 1st and July 29th. The event has grown in popularity over the past 7 years, with over 600 participants last year.

Designed by Paul Ortiz, the Angel Fire Resort golf course opened in 1972. The 18-hole course features 6,655 yards of golf for a par of 72. The club is situated at 8,600 feet elevation, with views of Wheeler Peak–the tallest peak in New Mexico. Located 40 minutes east of Taos, in Angel Fire, New Mexico, Angel Fire Resort Country Club features 18-holes of golf surrounded by the Southern Rockies and numerous national forests. The front nine incorporates a longer-playing layout that meanders through two unspoiled canyons of aspen, spruce, and pine, while the back nine offers links-style play with smaller greens and plenty of bunkers. The signature 6th hole features a tee box soaring 200 vertical feet above the green – 250 yards away. Rated as one of the top 5 courses in New Mexico and one of the top high-elevation courses in the country by Golf America, the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course & Country Club is a great value. The course is open May 15 to November 1.
