The Wednesday Night Scramble is a weekly team golf event held at Angel Fire Golf Course on Wednesdays at 4:30 PM, running from June 3 through September 23, 2026. The entry fee is $45 per player, which includes an optional $5 skins competition. Registration is by calling the Golf Shop at (575) 377-4488. Participants may bring their own team or be placed on a team by the resort. Many of the Angel Fire Country Club Golf Staff participate, offering a chance to pair up with PGA Professionals. Scrambles will not take place on July 1st and July 29th. The event has seen growing popularity over the past 7 years, with over 600 participants last year.

Designed by Paul Ortiz, the Angel Fire Resort golf course opened in 1972. The 18-hole course features 6,655 yards of golf for a par of 72. The club is situated at 8,600 feet elevation, with views of Wheeler Peak–the tallest peak in New Mexico. Located 40 minutes east of Taos, in Angel Fire, New Mexico, Angel Fire Resort Country Club features 18-holes of golf surrounded by the Southern Rockies and numerous national forests. The front nine incorporates a longer-playing layout that meanders through two unspoiled canyons of aspen, spruce, and pine, while the back nine offers links-style play with smaller greens and plenty of bunkers. The signature 6th hole features a tee box soaring 200 vertical feet above the green – 250 yards away. Rated as one of the top 5 courses in New Mexico and one of the top high-elevation courses in the country by Golf America, the Angel Fire Resort Golf Course & Country Club is a great value. The course is open May 15 to November 1.
