ECCO Days powered by GC Hohenstaufen e.V. is a 9-hole After Work stableford tournament held at Golf-Club Hohenstaufen. The event on 2026-09-10 is one of five dates in the series, starting at 16:00 from Tee 1. Open to all members and guests of the club. Entry fee is 18.00 EUR for GCH members, 10.00 EUR for youths up to 18 years, and 40.00 EUR for guests (including green fee). Maximum handicap index is 54. Field size is limited to 40 players, with entries accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Prizes are awarded for 1st place Brutto (gross) and 1st to 3rd place Netto (net), with Damen and Herren competing together. Tie-break procedure: better last 6, 3, and 1 holes in net score; if still tied, a draw decides. Players are grouped by handicap class (high-medium-low). Entry is managed via the Albatros Mobile App, www.golf.de, or the sign-up sheet in the clubhouse. Registration closes one day before the event at 12:00. No late entries accepted.

Bahn 16, known as the "Rose without Thorn," is the 16th hole at the Golf-Club Hohenstaufen e.V. in Donzdorf, situated on the Swabian Alb in Baden-Württemberg. As the final par 5 on the course, it serves as a concluding test of the parkland layout, offering views of the surrounding landscape that highlight the character of the facility. The hole plays as a dogleg left, requiring a precise and long drive into the bend to set up a successful approach shot toward the green. The fairway is tightly constrained, bordered by the Reichenbach stream on the right and a forest on the left, demanding accurate placement off the tee. The approach to the green presents a significant challenge, as the target is guarded by water to the right, a bunker to the left, and out-of-bounds behind the putting surface. The hole is named in reference to Irene of Byzanz, the daughter of Emperor Isaac II Angelos and Queen of the Hohenstaufen dynasty, who was buried in the nearby Lorch monastery church after her tragic death in 1208.
