Thursday Tournament

The Thursday Tournament (Torsdagsturneringen) is a recurring individual strokeplay competition held every Thursday throughout the season at Groruddalen Golfklubb. The first tournament of the season takes place on May 7th. The event is open to all golfers and is entered via the Gimmie app under club tournaments. The competition runs in four handicap classes based on player handicaps. Most Thursdays feature individual play that contributes to an Eclectic tournament series running through the season; the first Thursday of each month features a team competition instead. To qualify for the Eclectic final at the end of the season, participants must have competed in at least four rounds. Weekly prize distributions are held after each round, with additional lucky draw prizes available for those present at the prize-giving. Coffee and waffles may be available. A separate Senior Tournament is also held on Monday mornings for players over 50.
