Spark Golf Thursday League

The Spark Golf Thursday League is a 9-hole social golf league held at Deep Cliff Golf Course in Cupertino, California. The league runs weekly on Thursdays from late June through early September 2026, with rounds starting at 4:59pm. Players can join as individuals or form 2-person teams. The team game uses a net best ball (betterball) format where each player plays their own ball and the team's score for each hole is the better of the two net scores. An individual game is also available with net scores for each player. Handicaps are provided by Spark Golf; no existing handicap is required. Players enter their scores via the Spark Golf app or mobile website as they play, with scores displayed on a live leaderboard. The entry fee is $40 per round for walking only. Registration opens online and closes at 12:00pm on the Wednesday before each round. Each round has a maximum of 12 players. The league is open to everyone regardless of skill level, gender, or experience. The Spark Golf app calculates a maximum score for each hole to maintain pace of play, and players are encouraged to pick up their ball when reaching the max score. Gimmies within 3 feet are accepted, and lost or out-of-bounds balls can be dropped nearby with a penalty stroke. The league features both team and individual end-of-season championships.
