Weekend Competitions

18-hole individual stableford club competitions are played every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday (except Christmas Day) at Alice Springs Golf Club, subject to major event dates. Visitors with a valid World Handicap System handicap are welcome to participate. The competitions are run under the management of the Match Committee, with the Rules of Golf and applicable Local Rules in effect. Scorecards must be completed with each nine totalled and final scores placed in the top right hand corner, then scanned through the MiClub scanner in the clubhouse and confirmed. All cards must be returned by the close of competition, which is 15 minutes after the last player leaves the 9th or 18th green. In the event of a tie, the countback system is used: best score on the last 9 holes determines the winner, then the last 6 holes, then the last 3, and finally hole by hole working backwards from the 18th. The golf season runs from the first weekend in March until the end of October. Green fees apply for visitors. Motorised carts are permitted. The course is a soft spikes only course. Visitors are limited to four playing occasions per year and must be introduced by a member with a GolfLink number and consent of the Captains, Club Professional, or General Manager.
