Michael Zollner Gedächtnis Championship

The Michael Zollner Gedächtnis Championship is a handicap-relevant individual stableford competition played over 18 holes at the Kurhessischer Golfclub Oberaula-Bad Hersfeld (Golfcourse Oberaula 18 Loch Meisterschafts-Platz). The tournament follows the Official Golf Rules (including Amateur Statute) of the German Golf Association (DGV) and the club's course rules, based on the World Handicap System (WHS). Eligible to participate are all members of clubs affiliated with the DGV or their respective national golf associations who hold amateur status. Men play from the yellow tees and women from the red tees. The field is limited to 92 participants with a cannon start, divided into medium-high-low handicap groups. No preferred flights. Entry fee is 15€ for adults and youths; guests additionally pay the day greenfee plus 10€. Prizes are awarded to the 1st gross finisher in ladies and gentlemen categories, 1st–3rd net finishers (depending on number of participants), with the best net score receiving the Championship traveling trophy. Additional prizes include 'Nearest to the Pin' and 'Longest Drive' competitions for both ladies and gentlemen, held separately. The tournament concludes with a prize-giving ceremony and results display. Entry deadline is Friday, 7 August 2026 at 12:00.
