Tidworth Garrison Golf Club

Wiltshire, England

Founded in 1908, Tidworth Garrison Golf Club is a prestigious downland course designed by renowned architect H.S. Colt, located on the picturesque Salisbury Plain in Wiltshire. The course is built on a chalk base, providing excellent drainage that allows it to remain playable throughout the year, even during harsh winter conditions, making it particularly popular during colder months. As Wiltshire's premier private members' golf club, Tidworth offers top-quality playability with an array of memorable holes. The course features a warm, inviting clubhouse and is complemented by professional facilities including a Pro Shop team led by PGA Advanced Head Professional Mark Boscott, who provide lessons, club-fitting, and repairs. The club uniquely offers a "Putter Fitting Studio" exclusive to the area. The course welcomes visitors and societies year-round, providing them access to the quality and consistency of this exceptional downland layout. Facilities include a bar and restaurant with a halfway hut after the 9th green. Peter Alliss famously described Tidworth Garrison Golf Club as "a gem of a course on the edge of Salisbury Plain," reflecting its standing as a must-play destination in the region.
