The Seniors Scramble Open is a 4-person Texas Scramble open competition for senior golfers, held at Boldon Golf Club, Dipe Lane, East Boldon, NE36 0PQ. The event takes place on Thursday 3 September 2026. The visitor entry fee is £15.00 per player. Bookings can be made online in pairs (2 slots), with teams of 4 assembled from multiple bookings. Players do not need a formal handicap but must be able to play to an equivalent standard. Players who are not members of a club affiliated to England Golf or iGolf are recommended to hold their own personal liability insurance. Smart golf attire is required on the course and in the clubhouse; denim, cargo/combat trousers, and football-style shirts are not permitted on the course. Cancellations made more than one week before the event date incur no charge; cancellations within one week are charged at 50% of the entry fee. Bookings are fully transferable.

Boldon Golf Club, founded in 1912, is an 18-hole course designed by six-time Open Champion Harry Vardon. Located on the northern outskirts of Sunderland, near East Boldon, the course is easily accessible from the A19 motorway and Tyne Tunnel. The layout offers panoramic views of the North East coastline and provides a test suitable for golfers of all abilities. The course features varied terrain typical of the region, with key holes including the 9th, 14th, 16th, and 18th greens. Boldon maintains a family-friendly atmosphere while respecting traditional golfing values. The club hosts approximately 70 member competitions annually, including mid-week medals and stableford competitions alongside weekend events. The course accommodates both day visitors and members, with modern facilities supporting contemporary golf enjoyment.
