Boldon Golf Club, founded in 1912, is an 18-hole course designed by six-time Open Champion Harry Vardon. Located on the northern outskirts of Sunderland, near East Boldon, the course is easily accessible from the A19 motorway and Tyne Tunnel. The layout offers panoramic views of the North East coastline and provides a test suitable for golfers of all abilities. The course features varied terrain typical of the region, with key holes including the 9th, 14th, 16th, and 18th greens. Boldon maintains a family-friendly atmosphere while respecting traditional golfing values. The club hosts approximately 70 member competitions annually, including mid-week medals and stableford competitions alongside weekend events.
