Prestatyn Golf Course

Denbighshire, Wales

Prestatyn Golf Club, established in 1905, is an 18-hole Championship links course located on the North Wales coast at Marine Road. The course presents a classic links layout with well-maintained greens that are consistently praised by visiting players. The terrain features strategically placed fairway bunkers and challenging par threes that are notably well-protected. The course is known for its demanding characteristics in windy conditions, with interesting hole design across its par 4s and 5s that provide a challenge for all skill levels. The 18th hole is recognized as one of the course's finest closing holes. Prestatyn hosted the Amateur Championship in 2019, confirming its status as a championship-standard venue. The course offers excellent practice facilities alongside its main layout, with fairways and greens maintained to high standards. The undulating links terrain and coastal setting provide a distinctive golfing environment that appeals to both casual and competitive players.
