Winter Open at Stourbridge Golf Club on 27 November 2026. Mixed competition, individual format, Stableford scoring. Open to men, ladies, and juniors. Visitor entry fee is £20.00 (member fee £5.00). Booking opens 1 September 2026 at 06:00. Players must have submitted 6 individual competition scores in the rolling 12 months prior to the event. WHS handicap limit: Men 28, Ladies 36. Higher handicaps may enter but maximum playing handicap applies. Playing handicap is 85%. Men play from white tees, ladies from red tees. Tee times at 10-minute intervals between 8am and 1pm. Scorecards must be fully completed with gross scores, signed by player and attester, and handed in at the competition organiser's table. Tie resolution by countback: back 9, back 6, back 3. Play in accordance with R&A Rules of Golf and Stourbridge Golf Club Competition Rules July 2024.

Stourbridge Golf Club is an 18-hole championship course measuring 6,151 yards with a standard scratch score of 70 for men and 73 for ladies. Originally established in 1892 as a nine-hole layout on the old Pedmore Racecourse, it expanded to 18 holes in 1909. Built on sandy soil, the course offers excellent drainage and remains playable year-round without temporary greens. The design features tree-lined fairways requiring strategic club selection, with hidden borrows on the greens adding complexity. The course contains 59 bunkers and presents both parkland and heathland characteristics. The signature 4th hole is a challenging par 4 (stroke index 1 for men) that doglegs left with bunkers guarding both sides of the fairway and the green approach. Notable par 3s include the demanding 12th hole at 201 yards, where anything short finds trouble. The closing 18th finishes in front of the clubhouse. The course provides a rigorous test for golfers of all levels, with careful positioning essential throughout.
