Seniors' Autumn Open - a three-ball AM-AM stableford competition for golfers aged 55 and over. The best two scores from each team of three count per hole. 85% handicap allowance applied. Maximum handicap index is 31.0. Entry is open to visitors at £35.00 per player (includes £5 refreshment voucher); members pay £15.00 per player. All entrants must be members of a registered/affiliated golf club with a fully developed active handicap, and CDH numbers must be provided. Start times are available from 9:00am to 2:00pm in 10-minute intervals, with players required to report to the starter at least 10 minutes before their allocated time. Entries are accepted online, by post (cheque payable to Market Drayton Golf Club 1906 Ltd), or by BACS transfer. The event is organised by Graham Ellerton.

Market Drayton Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course established in 1906, located one mile outside Market Drayton in rural Shropshire. The course features notable elevation changes that provide spectacular views across the surrounding countryside landscape. The layout is designed to offer challenge and interest across its 18 holes, with varied terrain that creates a diverse playing experience for golfers of different abilities. The course is characterized by excellent drainage, allowing play during winter months when many other courses close seasonally. A temporary green is currently in use on the 8th hole. The club benefits from its peaceful, secluded setting within the Shropshire countryside while maintaining accessible facilities for both members and visitors. The course's combination of natural elevation, parkland setting, and consistent playing conditions throughout the year makes it a distinctive venue in the North Shropshire region.
