St Annes Old Links Pairs 2027

Tour: Amateur Golf Events

Rounds: 1

Amateur Golf Events is a curated series of pairs golf competitions operated by Golfbreaks and Mashie Golf, featuring tournaments at some of the UK's top 100 courses. All events are played in a pairs better ball stableford format with an 85% WHS handicap allowance, open to golfers of all abilities. The series welcomes all pair combinations including male, female, and mixed teams, with solo entries accepted subject to availability for pairing. Entry fees range from £69 to £199 per person depending on venue, making the events accessible to a broad amateur golfer base across the UK. Each event is professionally hosted with live scoring via Golf Genius, plus welcome gifts, on-course competitions, and a complimentary refreshment hole. Prizes are awarded to the top five pairs at each venue, with over £3,000 of prize money distributed across the series. Most importantly, the winning pair from each event qualifies for the Grand Final held later in the year at a premier UK course, creating a season-long competitive progression. The schedule is strategically organized with back-to-back events at certain venues, allowing golfers to play multiple tournaments in quick succession and build travel-friendly itineraries. The inclusive philosophy defines the Amateur Golf Events experience, emphasizing community and camaraderie alongside competition. Participants compete for tangible prizes but also for the opportunity to qualify for the Grand Final. Golfers with WHS handicaps and iGolf handicaps can compete for main prizes, ensuring accessibility for players from different club systems. The partnership with two established event operators ensures professional management, quality venues, and a welcoming atmosphere that blends competitive golf with genuine social enjoyment across the amateur golfing community.
