The Real Federación Española de Golf (RFEG) serves as the national governing body for golf in Spain rather than operating as a competitive amateur tour. Established in 1932 and headquartered at the Centro Nacional de Golf in Madrid, the RFEG administers golf competitions, oversees the World Handicap System for approximately 300,000 federated members, and manages Spanish national teams across various categories including men's, women's, youth, senior, and adapted golf divisions. Members access competition registration, handicap tracking, and activity records through the official RFEG smartphone application. The federation emphasises rules education, player development programs, and maintains competitive integrity through its various technical committees while enforcing USGA Rules of Golf across all sanctioned competitions.
