Southport Coast Links Championship 2027

Tour: Sean Colye Golf Events

Rounds: 4

Sean Coyle Golf Events specializes in multi-day amateur golf championships across Britain, Ireland, Wales, and Europe. Founded in 2013, the organisation has grown to host prestigious competitions such as the Southport Coast Links Championship, South Wales Coast Links Championship, Aberdeen Coast Links Championship, and the inaugural Sandwich Coast Links Championship. Events are structured as individual stableford competitions played over multiple days at top-ranked courses, with formats typically ranging from three to five days. The Southport Coast Links Championship, for example, spans five days across five of Britain's finest courses culminating in a grand final at Royal Birkdale. Players must generally have a maximum handicap of 18-24 depending on the event, with qualification rounds determining finalists for championship courses. All events are approved by England Golf, Wales Golf, or equivalent governing bodies and are handicap-qualifying, with live scores powered by Intelligent Golf. Prize structures include substantial vouchers for winners - such as £500 for the Southport championship - plus daily prizes and trophies. Entry fees typically range from £259 to £589 depending on event length and accommodation options. In 2019, Sean Coyle launched the Amateur Senior Tour, specifically designed for golfers aged 50 and above, providing competitive opportunities comparable to professional senior tours. The organization also operates Fairway Golf Group Holidays, offering mixed golf and non-golfer packages organized by Coyle personally. The events are characterized by professional organization combined with friendly atmosphere, with participant testimonials highlighting course quality, administrative excellence, and camaraderie. Events feature accommodation packages at partner hotels and include meals, creating comprehensive tournament experiences.
