Gilroy Golf Course is an 11-hole public course built in 1923 by local farmers and businessmen in the Uvas Valley near Gilroy, California. The historic layout, the oldest in Santa Clara County, features small undulating greens and wide, tree-lined fairways designed to accommodate both recreational and low-handicap golfers. The course can be played as 9 or 18 holes, with the back nine replaying seven front-nine holes from different lengths and angles, plus two additional holes. Par 70 with yardage ranging from 5,200 to just over 6,000 yards, the course underwent renovations beginning August 2021, including restoration of an original 1923 par-3 hole, new cart paths, bunkers, and tees. Notable holes include the challenging par-4 eighth requiring precision through oak trees, and the signature par-3 eighteenth, a spectacular 245-yard downhill hole with 300-foot elevation drop offering views of southern Santa Clara County and the Gabilan Mountains. The serene setting in the unspoiled Uvas Valley provides a peaceful golf experience away from urban areas.

The course features no sand bunkers and only a couple of water holes, with the main hazard being an irrigation channel along the right side of the 9th and 18th hole on the par-5. Tree-lined fairways and greens with tricky slopes add to the course difficulty. The course record stands at 59, set by Scott Warren on March 12, 2023 during the Gin Gin Men's Open.
